Pregnancy Bereavement Series

Pregnancy loss can feel like a very lonely place. No one seems to understand, no one knows what to say, and you are left isolated in your hellish experience. You want to crawl into a cave to grieve away from the world, but you also ache to tell your story, to remember, to connect.

We know humans heal in community. We have a natural tendency to reach towards grief, to share it, to experience it, but sometimes we suppress this urge because those we confide in are uncomfortable with loss. It scares them.

We know we all crave empathy, connection, attention and intimacy through our shared experiences. We just want to feel heard.

"Empathy is simply listening, holding space, withholding judgement, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of 'You're not alone.' "

-Brené Brown

You are not alone. After all, one in five birthing people will experience a miscarriage or pregnancy loss. So we have created a 6-week series to hold space for healing together, to bring understanding and integration to your loss experience, to nurture yourself and others with compassion as you continue your pathway of healing with intention.

If this resonates with you, we invite you to join us for this series of Pregnancy Bereavement Integration at RVN Wellness in Port Moody, BC. We will join doula, yoga teacher, and womb healer Madison Desjarlais of Ode to Birth in meditations, the gentlest yoga, and nurturing practices to release emotions and encourage your grief to move. Beginning Sunday, April 10 at 7:30pm, the series runs for six Sunday evenings until May 15.
